Posted by Jack on 6/26/2003, 10:18:54 another loaded attempt to shed some favorable light on an overpriced, over-rated antenna design. notice the "rating system" used and ask yourself one question. since the stinger alone on the wilson 1000 mag mount is 62", how would the tests have turned out (as close as they were) if they would have bothered to test it against top-loaded designs that were at least the same overall physical height as the 1000 instead of the 48" models? this test only proves that radio pro can load a test to make the wilson antenna appear superior. make sure you save the page in case they decide to try it all over again with some 5' (60") and 5.5' (66") top-loaded antennas. and truck drivers are unable to use magnet mount antennas due to tractor design. http://www.radioproshop.com/antennatest.htm 228
