Posted by Mo [Crystal in the car on her way to her audition] Crys [on the phone with her sister]: Yeah, so I got this audition today and I’m REALLY nervous. Kat: You’ll be fine. You got it in the bag. Did you rehearse your lines before you left? Crys: Yeah, like 100 times. Kat: What’s the audition for again? Crys: It’s for a small part in a play. I’m a girl named Natasha who is new in town and I fall for the most popular guy in school. I’m pretty naive about to my surroundings but eventually I’m supposed to notice him falling for me. Kat: Well, that sounds like a pretty big role to me. Crys: Well, depending on how well I do, the director might make me a star. So I got MAD pressure on me right now to do great things. Kat: You’ll do fine. I know you can handle it. Crys: The funny part is Angela would play this role fabulously and not me. Kat: You know, you’re right but you can play the role too. Just put yourself in her shoes. Think about situations sheÂ’s been in and how she handled them. Or better yet, put yourself in those same positions, think of how you handled them and do the opposite. One of those is bound to work. Crys: She has the balls to do a lot of things. Kat: Then act like that. For you that might be hard but hang in there. I know you can do it. Remember, you don’t want to limit yourself to parts. Open your perspective and you’ll get more parts. I promise. Crys: Maybe you’re right. Kat: Of course I’m right. I’m your big sis. I’m ALWAYS right. Crys: Whatever! Kat: Don’t hate. Crys: Alright, well, I'm here. I have to go. Kat: Ok, good luck. You’ll be fine. Crys: Thank you. Kat: No problem. I love you. Crys: Love you too. Bye [they hang up] [At the store] MV: Um, is Angela here? Blake: Yeah, what’s your name? MV: Juan Torres. Blake: Ok. Hold on a second, please [over the walkie] Angie? Angela: Yes, love? Blake: There is a Juan Torres here to see you. Angela [thinks]: WHO is that? Blake: Do you want me to send him back? Angela [continues to think]: WHY is he here? [light bulb goes off in her head] Send him back, Blake. Blake: Ok. You can go back, Juan. Juan: Thank you [walks back into the stock room to find Angela. He found her at the computer in her office checking something]. Angela? Angela [looks up from her work]: Yes? Juan: Hi, I’m Juan Torres. You had an interview for me, remember? Angela: Hey...I'm sorry. I'm REALLY busy right now... Juan: Did you want me to come back at another time? Angela: No. I can interview you in like 5 minutes [pulls out a fold away chair]. Have a seat. Juan [pulls up the chair and sits down]: Thank you [pause]. If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing? Angela: Transfers...I wanted to tell you how AWESOME your resume is. I was VERY pleased. Juan: Thank you. Angela: You're welcome. And you passed your background check...I really wanna hire you but I have to clear it with my boss first. Juan: Ok...that's no problem. Angela: How long did you work at AX [Armani Exchange]? Juan: 2 years. Angela [still looking at computer]: Don't mind me if I'm not looking you directly in the eye. I'm a multi-tasker and I'm trying to get this mess done. But I AM listening to you. Juan: Ok. Angela: Well, I like what I see. You obviously have a good sense of fashion. Juan: Why thank you [he had on a pair of indigo Guess Jeans with bleach streaks, a rusted orange colored Guess T-shirt, a pair of brown Diesel shoes, and his chocolate colored hair was spiked everywhere]. Angela: And you know we want someone that knows how to dress. So you fit that perfectly. How old are you? Juan: 27. Angela: And where did you go to school? Juan: University of Michigan. Angela: Good choice. I was gonna go there until I got my job here. Juan: Yeah. I like it up there in Michigan. The people are friendly. Angela [looks at something on the computer again]: Ok, well we will call you soon. You have any questions for me? Juan: When can I start? Angela: I like you. I said the SAME thing when I interviewed for this company...don't worry. You more than likely have the job. Juan [getting excited]: Really? Angela: Yeah. But we'll call you to finalize everything. Juan: Thank you, very much. Angela [smiles]: You're welcome. ~*~OK, there's more. But I have things 2 do. I'll be back w/ more later. HOLLA!!!~*~
