Angela: Let me ask you something, Justin…can you Salsa? Do you even know how to Latin dance at all? Justin [leans over to Angela and whispers in her ear]: Don’t tell anyone…but no, I don’t know how. Angela [smiles at the thought]: Well, don’t worry. You’re in good hands, my friend. [In the backseat with Blake and Crystal] Crys [thinking]: I wish she hadn’t called him. I wish he hadn’t shown up…although he does look nice in those jeans [out loud]. What’s that cologne you’re wearing, Blake? Blake: Adidas…why [looks at her]? You like it? Crys [hesitantly]: It’s ok… Blake [thinking]: She wants me…but I can’t let her see that I’m interested in her just yet [out loud]. Why, thank you. And by the way, you look very nice. Camel is a good color on you…[thinking] SCORE! A complement always works. Crys [thinking]: So he wants to play the complement game to try and break me down. Two can play this one [out loud]. Just because you gave me a complement doesn’t mean I’m gonna fall for it. So don’t even try it, Blake. Blake [thinking]: You sunk my Battle Ship! [At Club Salsa] Angela: This place is beautiful… Justin: Look at all these beautiful people… Blake: Where’s the alcohol? Angela: Is that all you think about? Blake: What? Was it something I said? Crys: Is that Carlos? Angela: Where? Crys [points in his direction]: Right there… Justin: Yeah, that’s him. That’s definitely him. I figured he would be in the VIP Lounge. Blake: Well, why don’t we say hi? He looks lonely. Angela [thinking]: Not really. I didn’t come in here to see him, anyhow. [They all walk to the VIP Lounge] Justin: Carlos! Carlos: Hey, Justin! What’s up, man? Justin: Not much, can you get us in here, man? I mean, since you’re already in here, and everything… Carlos [looks at Angela]: All of you? Angela [looks at Carlos]: Oh, that’s messed up, Carlos… Carlos: Yeah, I’ll get you in [looks at the Bouncer]. Hey, these are my people. Let them in please. Bouncer: That’s gonna cost you, playa… Carlos [pulls out his wallet]: How much? Bouncer: $30. Crys: Oh, that’s not bad…for all of us? Bouncer: No, you misunderstood what I said. It’s $30 per person. You do your math right, that’s $120 for all of you. Carlos: Damn, homie! C’mon, can’t you lower the price some? Angela [looks closely at the Bouncer and then looks deeply into his eyes]: Sean? Bouncer: What? Angela: Sean, it’s me, Angie. I ran track with you in high school. Bouncer [pauses and looks into her eyes for a minute]: Angie Ramos? Angela: Yeah. Remember you dated me freshman year and I ended up being on the track team? Sean [thinks for a minute]: Yeah, I remember you, now. How long has it been? Angela: It’s been a good little minute. Sean: So how are you? You’re looking great so you have to be doing well. And how did you remember my name? Angela: I’m doing wonderfully. I remembered your name because I remember those eyes of yours, blue as the sky. And how are you? Sean: I’m doing fine. I’m getting married soon. Angela: Who’s the lucky girl? Sean: You remember Rebecca from the swim team? She was the one who broke her leg in the middle of swim season and then she became Homecoming Queen that same year. Angela: Yep, she stands out in my mind. I can’t believe you two are getting married. I’m happy for you. She’s a lucky girl. She’ll have an amazing man looking after her. Sean: Why thank you. That means a lot. She means the world to me. Crys [taps Angela on the shoulder to get her attention]: Um, have you forgotten why we were here? This is a nice family reunion and all but I want to get in here and have a good time. Angela: Um, I hate to cut this short but can we get in please? Sean: Oh, my bad! Go ahead. It’s on me. Enjoy the club [opens the gate]. Angela: Thanks, Sean. You’re the best [walks over to him to kiss his cheek]. You always had a kind heart. Sean: Well, you always happened to bring out the nice guy in me. Enjoy your night here at Club Salsa. Angela: Thanks again, Sean.
