Oscar: Mc Donalds is open. I think we should eat there. I'll go down there and get it. She'll out some money though. I'm not Bank Of America, ya know... [Jennifer walks up behind them just as Angela opens the door] Jennifer: But Oscar, you make so much money I think you should treat everyone... Oscar [turns around to see who said that]: Oh, yeah, right! You're the one with the big pay check, not me. That's why you're our district manager. Jennifer: I guess so... [They all walk inside & Jennifer turned off the alarm. The associates went & clocked in] Angela: Ok, boss. What would you like to do first? You know we have something like 60 boxes coming in today. Plus we have that huge floor move. Jennifer: Don't forget the 75 boxes of transfers and inventory next week. Angela: Damn! I forgot all about that! Carlos and I were just talkin about that. Jennifer: And you know what? Your new store manager's coming in today. He's closing. Angela: Really? What's his name? Jennifer: Justin. Angela: Which store is he coming from? Is he a transfer? Jennifer: He's from Los Angeles; the Beverly Center. Angela: Really? Is he closing? Jennifer: He should be coming right about now. I think he's gonna pull an open to close. He does it all the time in LA. Angela: How can he pull that off? Jennifer: You should see the type of work that he does. He's awesome. It's a small change we need here. The store is selling and I was told that he was in my Wellington store. I mean, he helped sell over there and then they moved him out to LA. He did wonders for Wellington. I didn't want him to leave but he had to. So I wanted to put him out here [walks over to the registers to help Angela count]. I mean, he's wonderful, Angela. And I'm in the process of hiring a new assistant manager here. I mean, as much as I want you to, you and Carlos can't run this place by yourselves. Angela [opening register 1]: I know. It's hard. I've been pullin 70 something hours a week. It's been me and Carlos everyday. My stock peeps know register, thank God. I'm so glad I trained them. Jennifer: You did? Angela: It was a just in case thing. Jennifer: Good idea. Did you train them in everything? Angela: Yeah. I thought I should cross train them that way they can do other things. I thought it was a smart idea, you know, just in case we're short staffed. Jennifer [finished counting register 2]: Yeah...that's why you're my 1st assistant manager. I made a smart choice. Angela: Why thank you... Jennifer [begins counting register 4]: Um, I think Justin's coming at 11am. Angela: Who's the new assistant manager you're hiring? Jennifer: I have a few candidates. I haven't made my decision. But I have an interview with one. It's at the Aventura store. So I'll be leaving for a bit but I'll come back. Angela: Ok. That's fine [stomach growls] Ok, time to eat. Oscar! [Oscar walks out of the stock room] Oscar: Time to eat? Angela: You read my mind! Here's some money. Go to Cinnabon, get me a roll and then go to Mc Donalds and 2 Egg Mc Muffins with a large Sprite [hands him $10]. That should be enough. Oscar: You want something, Jen? Jennifer: Um, get me a Cinnabon and some water. Oscar: Money, please...I told you, I wasn't Bank of America... Jennifer [smiles]: Don't worry, I got you covered [handed him $5]. That should be good. Oscar: Thank you. I'll be right back [walks out of the store to the food court]. Angela [continues to count register 3]: You know what? I think we need more peeps in here helping out. Jennifer: Go ahead. Who did you plan on calling? Angela: Just have peeps come in earlier. All of them are over 18, remember? Jennifer: True. So who are you calling? [finishes counting register 4 & moves to register 5] Call Ricky and Michelle. Angela: I hadn't planned on that but it's a good idea. [walks over to the phone & calls Niki & Chad to have them come in earlier. They agreed. Then she called Michelle & Ricky. They got there at 10am]. [10AM-the store is now open] Angela: I'm going to the back to bring some boxes out, ok Chad? Chad: Ok. I'll hold it down out here with Niki, Michelle, and Ricky. Michelle: Where's Kristen and Melissa? Chad: In the stock room. I think our stock managers are coming in today too. Michelle: David and Jessica? Chad: Yep. I think Blake's coming too. So how many peeps will we have workin today...[thinks for a minute]. Eleven peeps including myself and the managers. Damn! We need it though considering all the work we have to do... ~*Ok, since I have things 2 do, Ima be out. But I'll finish more of this~*~
