Janessa [standing in the doorway, thinking]: Oh shit! They have my phone! What am I gonna do? Coach: So nobody knows what this means? Janessa [gets brave and walks into the locker room]: It means Grandma… [Everyone turns around] Coach: Who are you? WS [walks up to her]: You must be Janessa. Janessa: That’s right. How did you know that? WS: Lucky guess. Janessa: Um, Mr. Saunders, that’s my phone. Sorry to cause such a distraction. Coach: It’s ok. You missed a call [hands her the phone]. Janessa: It was my Grandmother. SC: Can I ask why your Grandma has the ringtone Clubbin? Janessa [going through her phone]: It wasn’t a ringtone and I didn’t miss a call. It was my alarm to remind me to call my grandma to tell her to take her medicine [speed dials her grandma. She picks up her cell phone]. Abuela? Guadalupe: Si? Janessa: Where are you? Guadalupe: I’m with Raul right now. We’re in the mall at Finish Line. Janessa: What are you buying now? Guadalupe: Some new workout clothes. Por que? Janessa: Did you take you meds? Guadalupe: Si, baby. Janessa: Ok, I was just checking. I have to get back to work now. Guadalupe: Ok. Te amo… Janessa: Te amo mucho, tambien. Ciao. Guadalupe: Ciao, bella [they hang up] WS: Aw, that was sweet. Janessa: Ha ha. Mr. Saunders, can I barrow that Sharpie that’s on your desk? Coach: Sure and call me Coach. It sounds better. Janessa: Ok, Coach. Thank you. Coach: You’re welcome. And Janessa one more thing. Janessa: What’s up? Coach: Welcome to the Timberwolves. Janessa [face lighting up]: Thank you [takes the Sharpie back to Matt]. Matt: Damn, what took you so long? I thought they ate you alive in there. I didn’t know if I was going to need to send a search party or something. Janessa: Sorry. The guys were caught up in my conversation with my grandmother. I accidentally left my cell phone in KG’s locker. It went off to remind me to call her to take her medicine. Matt: Cell phones aren’t permitted on the clock. Janessa: I have an exception. Matt: What’s that? Janessa: My grandma is very ill. Matt: What’s wrong with her? Janessa: She has breast cancer. Matt: Sorry to hear that. Does the GM know? Janessa: Yeah, he was the one that said I could have my phone with me. But I have to have it on vibrate, which I forgot to do. Matt: Oh… Janessa [begins to label the bottles]: I have a question. Matt: Sure, what’s up? Janessa: Are we allowed to use the weight room? Matt: Um, yeah. Janessa: Even while the players are inside? Matt: Yeah, just as long as we don’t get in their way. If you were going to take a shower, you have to go in the ladies locker room obviously, which is right down the hall from here. And the gym is around the corner. Janessa [thinks]: Perfect…[outloud] Do you workout with them? Matt: As soon as I’m done with you, I sure do. Janessa: I wish I had known that. I would’ve brought some clothes. Matt: Well, you can do it tomorrow. We don’t have a game until Thursday. It’s only Monday. Janessa: True.

Janessa [walks back to the locker room. As she’s walking back, she notices her waist feels lighter. She thinks]: Oh, shoot! My phone [begins to panic]! Where is that damn phone [opens the door to the locker room]?
