Kareem: I mean, it’s up to you. I don’t know any of those peeps that you chilled with in high school so it’s all left up to you.
Nicole: I guess we can go.
Kareem: Well, what time is this party?
Nicole: I think it starts at like 11pm, something like that. I normally show up to her things like an hour and half late. You know, fashionably late.
Kareem: I got you. Well, what time is it now?
Nicole *looks at her watch*: It’s 9:30…Damn, we’ve been chillen for like 7 hours!
Kareem: Has it been that long?
Nicole: Yeah. I mean, I got rid of Venessa and Mike at like 10:30 this morning, Joe came over like 45 minutes later, I went to the beach at like 12 something. I was there until about 2:15. And I got home and then you came over. So that’s about right.
Kareem: Well, what do you wanna do now? It’s too early to go to that party.
Nicole: You’re right. Um, I don’t know. You have all your things, so I guess you could like unpack in my room.
Kareem: Yeah, you never showed me your room.
Nicole: Oh, forgive me. Follow me *gets up from his lap*
Kareem: I heard this place was tight.
Nicole: And who did you hear this from?
Kareem: A little snow bird told me.
[They walk into her room]
Nicole: And here you have it. My domain…
[Her room consisted of leopard printed things and her bathroom was the same way. She had wallpapered her room with pictures of her and all her friends. Then she had a side of the room where people were autographing this long sheet of paper. It too, went up as wallpaper]
Kareem *looking at the pictures of him and Nicole*: I remember this one. We were at the game at the gym.
Nicole: Oh, yeah. That was the week of the tournament for Open Gym, right?
Kareem: Yeah. I took that picture after the game.
Nicole: You hugged me and you were all sweaty!
Kareem: You still love me. So let it go! *smiles* We won the last game but didn’t win the championship.
Nicole: That’s ok. Y’all played your asses off in that game.
Kareem: That’s for damn sure! I was so tired the next day. My girl was mad at me because I didn’t spend time with her that day. I was playing ball all nite and then I stayed home the next day because we played hard the nite before. We fought about that and I hung up on her. I wasn’t tyin to hear that shit that day.
Nicole: Yes, I remember that. I came over since I was in the area and you told me all about it. Remember you came over and chilled with me and the rest of the crew in the hot tub?
Kareem: Yeah, that was nice. *thinks about it* That was very nice. I can’t believe I was that tired.
Nicole: Whatever. You can’t be Superman all the time. Now, let’s get ready. It’s almost 10:30.
Kareem: Ok, where do I take a shower?
Nicole: Um, you can take it in my bathroom. Just let me get my things out and I’ll shower in Venessa’s. There’s towel’s in the bathroom that you can use above the toilet. You need anything else?
Kareem: I think I’m good.
Nicole: Ok. Ima find some clothes and then hop in the shower. *walks to the closet to find something to wear*
