Misty Moment
Sculpted in perfection, alabaster white,
Venus incarnate, a soft petal sharp
to the heart, a craving pain cut right
from your statue-carved, unmarred,
infallible flesh. Wish that strength
resided in these legs, knock-kneed
and wobbly, as I steady them for the
sixth time and before the seventh I plead,
"Have mercy, Misty", locking eyes, if
only in desperation as mine cling
to yours, grasping one-handed from a cliff.
