Yeah, Grissom was going deaf. He'd inherited this degenerative hearing condition from his mother who is deaf, but at the end of season 3 I think it was, he had this op that sorted it out. He can hear again now. And Sara started having a drinking problem in season 4, after Grissom turned her down when she asked him out for dinner. In the last ep of season 4 she got pulled for DUI and had t take some time off and have counselling. We found out in season 5 that the reason sara drinks is cos her mum killed her dad when sara was about 12, cos her dad used t beat her mum and she could no longer take it. Sara spent years in foster care. Think her mum is still in jail!!! Anything else u wanna know, i'm a complete fan!!!
