Thompson's of Milam District, Mclennan County, Texas

I am searching for The Sampson Thompson family listed in the 1860 Waco, census.
It is said there was a murder spree of the family men while they where in the fields.
Most of the family is gone by 1864.
I have not been able to find any stories in papers, or court records.
I did fine Adaline Thompson (the widow of Wm. G. Thompson) Marr. to Mr Lathrop in 1864.
Any help would be greatful, as it is not easy to get to the County Archives to research myself.
