I'm seeking parent or sibling information on my gg grandfather Nathaniel McCartney b: 1818 in Clark Co., Ohio. I suspect his father's name would have been William, perhaps the William McCartney who was among the first residents of Springfield Twp, Ohio.
Nathaniel was married to Abigail Parker in 1841 in Wills, LaPorte, Ind., and died in 1856 after a 1852 trip out the Oregon Trail.
His first son, my g grandfather, was named William Henry Harrison McCartney.
