I certainly remember mine.
It was 1980 and I was 17 and on holiday in the West of England with my parents. I’d only just started smoking in front of them and was smoking either St. Moritz Menthol or my father’s Dunhill International (the latter still an occasional favourite today).
Knowing my then liking for Menthols, they pointed Mores out to me in a newsagent’s when I went into buy some cigarettes (I’m not sure now how they knew about the brand) and I bought some. I remember smoking them with both of them at a club that night and feeling *fantastic*. It was a repeat of the excitement I’d felt a few months before when I first smoked in front of them. (It's exciting me even now, wiritng this!)
Two really great memories, along with the first time an adult (ie someone outside my teenage peer group) had offered me one, about a year before. I felt like I’d really “arrived” in adulthood.
I’ve been smoking cigars for the last few weeks but I bought a pack of More Reds this lunchtime and thoroughly enjoyed a couple over coffee during free time while in London for some meetings today.
