I've got version 3.02 as well. We had a hurricane, so I haven't used this computer for a week. Today I tried to use spinamp and it's not working.
Obviously, sometime during the past week, something broke. If I try to play a channel, winamp brings up the "open file" dialogue box, asking me to select a local playlist. If I try and update the channels, I get an XML error - #16.
I've got good registry backups from two weeks ago when I know the system was fine, which I've used with the same results. It's not my system, it's spinamp and the system it's trying to connect to.
Maybe AOL or whoever has dropped the service spinamp uses? Maybe the servers that feed spinamp are down? Maybe the green aliens from Mars finally have arrived?
In any case, I've certainly enjoyed using spinamp all these years and appreciate the work and effort the maker has put into it, especially since that work is given out for free.
I do hope that whatever is broken can be or will be fixed, but even if it's not, I sincerely thank the maker of spinamp for the innumerable hours of enjoyment spinamp has given me.
