When I attempt to play a .ram or .rm in winamp I get no sound. The file information comes through (author, complete name of audio, proper length, etc.) but nothing actually plays. I tried unchecking "process audio through winamp" but it still doesn't work. Sometimes it gives an error box that says Realplayer needs to be installed.
I have downloaded the newest versions of WinAmp, Real Alternative, and Tara...and installed them in that order. I don't have any version of Realplayer installed.
Installation seemed straight forward...did I miss something?
My goal is to convert some public radio archive streams into MP3 or OGG so I can play them on the portable player when I don't have net access.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Terrance
