Can I install the Lite version of Real Alternative, or do I need Media Player Classic for all of this to work? Can someone explain in detail the process required for properly setting up Winamp to play and stream Real format files? Please include what to download and any installation tips. Ok, sometimes I'm not the most computer literate person out there, I'll admit that up front. Here's what I think I know: Tara plugin for Winamp will allow Winamp to play .rm, .ra, .ram, .smil, and any other Real format files as well as rstp:// streams... but you need to have Real Player installed first (for the codecs). Some people have gotten it to work with Real Alternative instead of Real Player. But I can't get this setup to work right!
So if anyone with a working set up will try it and tell me if they can get it to work I'd appreciate it.
