As such, you can use the same view-source: trick on them. If you go to view-source:http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/ram/live_infent.ram in any gecko browser, it will reveal the same rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/worldservice/liveinfent.ra address as your method. (Which, btw, shouldn't play in any browser, unless you have the real audio plugin. It's the originating SHTML page that is intended to be viewed in a browser. --Previous Message--
Strange, the ram file plays perfectly in my winamp (and should play perfectly in any winamp with tara). If it doesn't play in yours, then it's not an issue of translating the URL, it's an issue of figuring out what's wrong with your winamp.
: Thanks for responding. In fact the URL your method ends up
: with,
: won't play in Winamp on my system; that's the whole point.
: But
: rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/worldservice/liveinfent.ra
: will play, only it can't be retrieved via my browser
: (Opera). Media Player Classic retrieves it.
