And just because Winamp can get through doesn't mean that it isn't blocking SCLister. For example, you could configure your firewall to allow Winamp to get data and not allow SCLister to get data. The easiest way to test if your firewall is the problem is to disable it for a couple minutes... if SCLister works when it is disabled then your firewall is blocking it.
First off, your SpinAmp should be 3.02 beta 2 (not beta 1).

: With spinamp, you have to use the 3.02beta one, and make sure
: to run the version check before trying to update channels.
:
: No idea what could be going on with sclister.
: Have you tried shoutamp?
:
: The plugins don't require any firewall access, but winamp
: does. If winamp is connecting at all, then your firewall
: isn't the problem.

: I've tried installing both the Spinamp 3.01 and 3.02 beta
: dll's, and can't seem to update my channels nor can I play
: the presets.
: Is there something that must be done to my firewall or is
: there a registry entry that's missing? I don't see any
: firewall alerts that anything is being blocked (or if
: Spinamp is trying to connect). Must one have AOL installed
: to use this? I have a broadband connection, so that's not
: the problem. I didn't install the inmp3.dll as I already
: had that with Winamp 5.

: I have a similar problem with SCLister. It can't seem to
: connect to Shoutcast to update the stations. Winamp
: doesn't have the problem connecting however, and updates
: every station listing in the media library.
