The 25th anniversary was just the perfect milestone to end L&L.
They had been through some very rough years, yet their chemistry was as strong as ever, and Tony and Genie seemed more emotionally raw, vulnerable, and in sync than perhaps ever.
I would've ended in one of two ways:
1. With what we received. Laura melts into her catatonia, in an eternal garden, reliving L&L's love story. And we never see them together again romantically.
2. Or they hired Genie back for like 6 months, earlier, and wrote off both L&L together in November 2006.
