Did I want to see Genie tested with a few guys. No! Laura needed to be focused on Spencer, Valentin, Charlotte and Lulu. Her chasing "romance" (IMO) wasn't ideal at that point. It would have made her look shallow and selfish.
So...you say becasue her character and romance was not really accessible or at an optimal peak to another romance...she became useless to GH.
You know what....then they don't deserve her.
Finally, she was given a story WITH LEGS! Most GF fans were really stoked at this new story for Laura. And - if FV had a clue he would realize that many women would have preferred that story rather than watching her chase another "dream" man.
Your point only underscores how wrong FV is for this business. He doesn't "get" women. He's in the wrong genre.
Anyone interested, should write FV and tell him that! LOL

: I personally don't think that's the reason
: she was dropped from contract. But you can't
: really stop others from having theories.
:
: The rest of my post addresses reality. How
: viable a major character is seen on the
: romance/sex front absolutely, 100% affects
: how they're written.
:
: ALL front burner characters on GH are
: considered romantically viable. If they
: aren't? They aren't front burner.
:
: Kevlaur was a pleasant romance. But like
: Tony and Genie have both said, "happily
: ever after" is the death knell for
: story. "Nice" romances don't get
: much screen time.
:
: It would absolutely have benefited Laura if
: the writers, and producers, saw her as an
: option for the leading men on the show.
:
: Not sure how anyone can say otherwise.
