Yes - it was that abrupt. It was actually a bit worse because they were lining her up for something big. I am going to have to move beyond it though. I was just floored because I felt like the writing was improving and they were investing in her. I can’t even imagine acting out a script that has you taking on a big political storyline and feeling like you finally have something to bite your teeth in to — and then the next thing you know you get a script that makes you leave indefinitely for Spencer breaking his legs. She must have been devastated. I just felt the disappointment and the feeling that there will never be another opportunity again. Even if she comes back it will probably be just for filler. Anyway, I have vented enough. It might be that I am taking it a bit personal because I am getting a bit older. I am turning 45 which I know is not old — but there is something that happens for a woman that makes you question your relevance as you say goodbye to youth. At least that’s how I feel lately. I am done now...

: Sounds like it happened just as abruptly as
: her exit in 2013.

: She probably isn’t responsible. But,
: something
: happened either way. I watch everyday and it
: was an obvious change to the poing where the
: writing seemed absolutely ridiculous with
: saying Spencer broke both his legs. They
: should have at least let her have the story
: that was obviously intended for her! Then,
: maybe her being dropped to recurring as
: Mayor would have been an easier pill to
: swallow for her and the viewers. She still
: would have had an important role in PC.
: Instead of being ripped from the canvas is
: abruptley! Leaves it open for a lot of
: speculation...

: This is not on her, or any of the actors.
: It's all Frank and possibly higher.
:
: She liked some comment on Twitter with
: people asking that Genie fans stop blaming
: her for "taking" Genie's story.
: But then unliked it, probably scared of
: repercussions.
