Totally agree and I've said this many times
Laura had her troubles and when they brought back Tony and Genie in 1993 they let us have Laura as a young grown woman, mother and seasoned wife. She was layered and complex. They gave her stories and problems to solve. What I've said many times is that they turned Laura into Audrey Hardy. Reliable, a matron, a loving and helpful person - the person that listens to your troubles instead of having interesting troubles. Something is just not right where her career on these soaps is concerned. She's exited too many times this way, whether kicked off or walking off. It made me so sad that Laura was on screen and I was never excited to see her because her role was so boring.
