I'm not sure if I have ever posted here before, but I have to post on this unbelievable piece of video.
Frons is so CLUELESS. So much went into the wonderful GH years of 79-80 (and 81-82). He implies that the one right (which is in his mind, tawdry and controversial) idea from one writer could recreate the magic and ratings of GH 79-80.
I have watched the old classic GH clips posted by sus (?) on You Tube.
The success of those days can be attributed to the talented, soulful, and "free" acting of TG and GF (who brought so much more than what was on the page); the production and direction of the great Gloria Monty; the complex and unconventional character-driven writing; the spot-on camera angles; the wonderfully contrived wardrobe choices; the surprising lead and supporting casting choices; and who knows how many more who contributed behind the scenes in the quest for "good theater".
Frons, JFP, and Luza are looking for the cheap hook, using marginal writers and the nearest average, scantily clad actress.
With these 3 at the helm, daytime is probably as good as dead. At least we will have You Tube.
