Elizabeth's schemes make sense, well, ... to her. But like Lucy Ricardo ("I Love Lucy,") she forgets key elements. And that's what makes her fun to watch.
For instance, if Caroline marries Ronan, her money will keep him off Patrick's payroll. But Caroline would not exactly go away, would she? She'd be Elizabeth's sister-in-law. Not the best situation.
"Shall we do Christmas at my house or at yours, dear Eliza?" Or ... "Since you won't be using the house on Clarges Street for the Season this year, what harm is there in allowing us to live there? After all, we are family.")
Wonder how long it be before Elizabeth figures this out?
