I'm eagerly awaiting the next update - I am so in love with the Patrick and Elizabeth relationship, and I do love your comical-relief elements (Sir Walter, the dialogue between Charles and Benwick,...).
I read some of the comments on the DWG board, including Susan's comments re Patrick. I had not read her story before, and did so last week. Her Patrick and your Patrick are, I assume, essentially the same guy, but the details and context you've added makes him so much more loveable (not to mention what he's done for Elizabeth!).
How did you get started in terms of writing? I find myself completely drained after the end of the semester, and couldn't imagine finding the energy for this kind of venture - though perhaps there's more of an energy surplus than a deficit once you get over some kind of barrier?
