about Benwick's opinion on the Admiral and that he would not remain faithful to Elizabeth. Do you mean to portray James as judgmental? Or do you think the idea that Patrick might genuinely love Elizabeth (and Elizabeth might love the Admiral) never enters his mind? I suppose that's understandable. But I surely hope you don't mean to identify with Benwick's opinion on the matter...
Of course this is very useful for Charles to hear, I hope he gets the message. If even Elizabeth deserves faithfulness, then even Mary deserves it.
