This was surely hilarious! Benwick used to have more power over Charles. He ought to have known Charles is not one to understand subtle hints...and his Navy training could have enabled him to give a direct order. But then where would the fun be?! :-)
I hope Elizabeth will be prevented from making a fatal mistake again (with WWE) as Lady Russell will not be available to take her anywhere. One can always hope...
