Posted by Librarian on 4/3/2002, 8:57 am Below please find a letter that has been used for a letter campaign sent to various organizations and people to raise awareness for Elliot's Disease. I urge you to report this matter to the CDC (specifically Ms. Mary Shepherd), as they will not take action unless they hear reports about it from the state epidemiologists. I also urge you to visit a web-page that contains links to literature concerning Elliot's Disease and to contact Deborah Altschuler with the National Pediculosis Association in Massachusetts. The NPA has been maintaining epidemiology statistics on this disease and also has been attempting to publish a paper based on a research project conducted nearly two years ago. Dr. Crutcher, the Oklahoma State epidemiologist participated in some capacity with the project. The website is: http://members4.boardhost.com/Kritters/ Ms. Altschuler can be reached at dza@headlice.org Thank you for your time and assistance. Enclosed: copy of letter from letter campaign.
