It's been nearly 12 years, minus about a year that we were defunct (I said Dec 2009, but it looks like it was actually Dec 2008).
If it were merely nostalgia driving this move, we would have exchanged pleasantries with those still playing and gone back to our other pursuits - all of us have other virtual worlds under out belts.
But Ultima Online isn't a forgotten relic from the past. True, with the failure of the Kingdom Reborn client, it looks horrendously dated. But there are a ton of new systems to explore, and the game is still receiving active attention from the development team, with new events and updates coming out on a regular basis.
After 12 years of development, there's a LOT to do and explore.
With that said, here's a toast to all the patrons of the Golden Brew, the friends that helped make it what it is, through good times and lean times and downright mean times.
