Life stole me away from UO very suddenly, and for that, I apologize for letting a piece of history fall away.
A couple years after returning to gaming, I found myself in Petrus's land of FFXI, albeit a different server. I appreciated the challenge, especially taking some advice Ursula once gave me and taking on a persona completely unlike myself. It was exhilirating, and the best acting I've ever done, I think.
I also tried WOW and hit 60 before you can say, "I GMed cooking!". I promptly quit, bored silly.
A portrait of a bartender hangs on my office wall, and is never forgotten. I even tried out Kingdom Reborn for a day and walked around lands forgotten. It's a strange dichotomy--a very sad, but very fulfilling walk. I spent four minutes wresting a rat before I figured out where my Corp Por was.
I've moved to Seattle and don't game much at all, at the moment. Trying to buy a new house (easy) sell the old one (very hard) and find time to daydream about the day Spore will finally be out and I'll make the time to sit down and try it out.
Thanks for keeping me company all those late patronless nights, Leyf. I think we ran a good li'l pub, one disgruntled wench be damned.
