| Ricks OT life

This really doesn't have much to do with the Kingston Trio, but it has a lot to do with a man who has lived his life in a way that, when the final day comes, he can close his eyes and know he lived his life as God intended. From an early age he had a passion for a new kind of music that even he could play.....and he never lost that passion. He kept that passion while rearing a family and supporting them while he supported his community. Prior to that he supported his country in one of the most profane wars the U.S. ever engaged.....I know, I was there, but he remained a patriot. The gift his wife gave him a few years ago culminating with a trip to Scottsdale was board-wide event. Others contributed instruments while he contributed passion. And I'm told he fit right in. And now a surprise trip to a baseball game at the new stadium in Philadelphia......a winning game at that. It's about hard work and it's about joy. I have never met Rick...probably never will, but his passion for life and it's ups and downs seem to have a lot to do with the Kingston Trio.......but mostly this is about a man who figured out why he was put on this earth.....and then set about to prove he knows the answer. --Previous Message-- : A long time ago, to be sure. I also went to one game at Ebbets Field back when the : Dodgers were there. The Phillies were my "home" team, but The Duke (my : kidhood baseball idol) was a Dodger, so I liked them, too. : : On Father's Day weekend, my son took me to see a Giants game. It was the first time : I'd seen their new stadium. Wow, what a gorgeous park! It is strictly a baseball : venue, and it's a huge improvement over sharing Candlestick with the 49ers. : : So how does this pertain to the Kingston Trio? Heck, I don't know.... : : : WB : : --Previous Message-- : Connie Mack Stadium was INDEED a long time ago! I saw many games at The Vet, but : this : new park is absolutely beautiful! I'm glad everyone is getting away from those : multi-purpose parks and building baseball stadiums again! : : :
