Not sure what Max is getting at here, but I would make a technical comment on this post.
Over the last couple of years or more the major record companies have allowed the original masters of numerous albums to be posted on You Tube. Some on the actual day that the album was first released.
It has been a good source of clean digital files for these albums, although they first need to be converted from their original mp4 format to mp3, Wav, FLAC audio files or whatever.
But what bugs me is that You Tube frequently mixes lower quality 480p or even 240p files with the original 1080p HQ files supplied by the record companies. You can see that in this New Frontier post.
However, if you search for one of these songs in You Tube you almost always come up with the original HQ version.
Incidentally, the material supplied by the record companies often includes a very clean original version of the album cover as well.
