Thanks for sharing, Max. I'm enjoying this thread !!!
Speaking of Joni Mitchell, I just wanted to add a few things a lot of folks might not be aware of.
Joni Mitchell was a big Kingston Trio fan, and when she just got stated (in 1963), "Joni Anderson" (as she was known back then)
included some of their songs when she'd sing on our Canadian radio stations:
1 - Getaway John
2 - This Mornin', This Evenin', So Soon
3 - Pastures Of Plenty
4 - Long Black Rifle
Joni Anderson (21) gave birth to a daughter (Kelly Dale)... but gave her up for adoption after 6 months, since Joni felt she could no longer take care of a child.
In Joni's own words: "I was dirt poor and there was no way I'd make a decent Mom. I felt unworthy."
Joni rushed into a "marriage of convenience" with American folksinger Chuck Mitchell, with the intent of keeping her child.
Trouble is, one month after this so-called "marriage"....Chuck Mitchell checked out. But Joni kept the name.
Anyhow, fast forward to when Joni Mitchell made it big in the entertainment field...singing and writing songs and recording albums that began to sell in the millions....
she had a romantic fling with (among others) ~> Graham Nash
In 1970, Joni was going through a lot of mental torment and emotional stress.
She was feeling uncomfortable with her success and demands made of her.
Around Christmas time, Joni became extremely difficult to be with and Graham Nash couldn't take it anymore. They parted ways.
"Not My Best Christmas." - says Joni Mitchell

I don’t know how I managed to do it, but several years ago I got this book, used, for far less than what it’s selling for now.
It’s an incredible book. It has most of her songs with chords and tunings.
