Rob, I too hated their preaching at their shows. It got worse the longer they were around. The last time I saw them, and I quit after that particular show, I drove and hour and paid good money to see a PP&M show. They did a total of seven or eight songs, the rest of it was political crap, and the show was here in Connecticut where Mary's family lived so we had to have her daughters and grand-daughters come up on stage, be introduced and shmooze with her. A waste of time and money for me. And I agree with your "grandstanders" assessment. They no doubt just wanted the publicity. Sometimes I think they were phonies. No doubt they did some great music though.
