If you go over to Mike Marvin's Facebook page, you'll see...well, many a glamor head shot from his attempts at a big time Hollywood movie career, but also pictures of what is to be the Kingston Trio. There's a variation or two (it's not always Tim), but the pictures go back to 2003 or so. They've been at this too long to sound as rudimental as they do. Hopefully, they're leaving themselves plenty of time to rehearse, 'cause they're going to need it.
I came in to the band at Bob, George and Roger, in late 1981. Yes I knew they were "different," but there was always the Bob factor that remained. When Bob had to leave the show, I was all set to not like the group anymore. But, I had 24 years of loving George to bank on. Plus I knew that Bill worked with Roger, so that was kind of like a blessing from above. Haworth moved on, but his voice did first, so I welcomed Rick and never looked back.
Any change to the group always had a constant. I was hoping George Grove would BE that constant. Guess I was wrong.
