Let me tell you what is sad about this.
If this guitar was right-handed ......
It would be selling for much more.
What this also means is that whoever sold it to Elderly didn't get much money for it.
There's no telling how little they were paid.
Take a look at this....It's insane !!!!!!!!!!!
Then, there's these guys.....they'v3e been around for almost as long as there's been internet...
Between 1967 and 1978.....I looked EVERYWHERE for a left-handed D-28...
I got one in 1978 from a guy who had bought it in 1966 while he was in Vietnam.
Just before the Brazilian era ended.
It was not in the best of shape appearance wise.
The frets were pretty worn.
He had played the hell out of it.
But, it was very sound...no cracks.
He wanted to become a professional photographer and was selling it to buy a camera.
I gave him $1,000 for it.
In .....maybe 1985....Shane called me.
He was in Washington D.C.
He'd just seen a left-handed D-45 in a store there.
He said it looked like new.....
I can't remember..... It was either $1,500....or $2,000......
I didn't have it.
John Denver got it right..........
Some days are diamonds......some days are stones.
Dig this one....I'd love to have it....
I don't know what weather checking means.....ain't callin to find out....
You know these darn things can drive you crazy......
There's a near perfect 1995 turquoise Jaguar XJS in Orlando that I've bought 4 lottery tickets for... It's $10,000
