Thanks for sharing, Rick. Gotta love those Kingston Trio LP covers, eh?
Speaking of which....
Dave Guard's ghost hasn't visited me since last Christmas.
Maybe he didn't like the "Tim Hortons" coffee Julie gave him !!! (hahaha)
Anyhow, Dave's ghost did not revisit me, BUT...I did have a DREAM about him.
It seemed very real to me:
Dave Guard was sitting across from his former wife Gretchen.
The conversation took place a decade AFTER Dave left The Kingston Trio.
The couple seemed to be sharing a smoked-meat sandwich at the Snowdon Delicatessan,
here in Montreal.
Dave was telling Gretchen how sorry he was for screwing everything up.
How he wished for things to go back to the way it used to be....
=> PRIOR TO 1961.
Gretchen took Dave's hand and said "You weren't happy, were you?
So what would be the point of going back?"
Dave snapped back and said: "BUT WE WERE RICH" !!!!!!
Gretchen kept rubbing Dave's left hand (was he left handed?) and
said to him softly:
"David my love, to be rich is to be happy with what you already have.
Haven't you learned that by now?"
THEN I WOKE UP !!!
: I got an email from my best friend and former Villager Larry last night. He sent along
: these two pictures with the note to me "Eat your heart out"! I thought I'd
: share the pics. He said no reference to the Trio on the outside but the second
: picture is behind the hostess stand. Pretty nice!
