I did manage to get a good flash photo of Nick close up signing autographs but not good of John and Bob. Sure wasn't easy those days shooting with my Dad's 35mm camera with a flash unit using press 25 flash bulbs and lack of understanding how to use the camera. Nowadays I can use my big flashy DSLR or miniature digital camera and end up with a pic. So simple. Even people with cell phones come up with incredible pics. DL
: I just ordered tickets to see the Trio in July at the Katherine Hepburn Theater in Old
: Saybrook CT. It's been a couple of years since I saw them and I was glad to be able
: to get a good seat. But I started wondering when it was I saw them last, so I pulled
: out a folder of old stuff, thinking I'd find a program or ticket stub. Instead, what
: I found was, and I had absolutely no idea where it came from, was a little envelope
: with really old ticket stubs in it. Further investigation and I found the two ticket
: stubs for my very first Kingston Trio concert. Nick, Bob and John, in White Plains,
: NY. I went with my late best friend Jim, who was the tenor guitar player and Nick
: wannabe in our group. I had no idea I still had these tickets. It was a real thrill.
: I think the word is serendipity? Anyway, here they are. Small things make me happy
: these days.
