My oldest brother was close to buying a used 1964 AC Cobra back in 1965, from Nagle Ford here in Rochester, but hesitated and a lady bought it later that day. I think he mentioned the used price at the time was under $4000. My other brother did go on to buy a new 1968 Shelby GT500 from Nagle Ford. Now that was a fun car to drive! An aside to the 1968 Shelby GT500, is that the only mechanic at Nagle Ford who was qualified to work on Shelbys was Maynard Troyer, a regional stock car driver. Maynard went on to racing in NASCAR a couple of years later, and gained dubious honor and fame as holding the NASCAR record for most flips, 33, in an accident in the 1971 Daytona 500!
