I always stop in and see Greg and Janet Deering in Scottsdale and usually take pictures of their displays. They are friends who have been on my radio show in the past and may be again soon this year. I too was struck by both the beauty and tone of the new White Oak banjos, but I didn't see in the thread below a mention of what to me was their most salient characteristic: they weigh significantly less than the real VPS and the Deering models of the same. I am tempted to refer to them as "light," though that may simply be in contrast to the older models. The White Oaks struck me as it least a third less heavy, maybe closer to half.
Janet asked me not to publish the pictures (taken 8/13/16) until after the company made its own official release announcement, scheduled for September. I surmise from the comments that the Deering website now includes them so here we are. Unfortuntely, these were the least good of the Deering pictures I took that day (more to come later, including a whole bunch of unique instruments that they are now producing) but are clear enough to get the general idea. And yes, they have a longneck.

Wish this one was clearer, but this will have to do for now:
