I've just been listening to Skinny Puppy again. Basically, the band must be seen as the musical incarnation of (cliché cliché) 80ies Cyberpunk. Alongside Front Line Assembly, Front 242, Clock DVA etc. pp. Oh yus, and Throbbing Gristle. But then they started it all in the mid/ late 70ies. I can remember when I first picked up "Neuromancer" back 19, 20 years ago, reading it and listening to all those bands on my walkman. "Eclipse 01", "Mirrorshades". Hm. I'm feeling rather old. :o)
