It is NOT stories with art and a lot of extra CLUTTER;
i.e, there's no "regular columns" or "news flashes" and
there's not even a "book reviews" section nor a "movie reviews" section.
It is NOT a site with ADS.
It has NO "pollution".
It has NO "small talk" from the editor. Well, maybe a little necessary exposition, now and again...
(For instance about feeding my cats and why the issue is late and that I've got lots of bills to pay, yada yada...)
What the Freezine IS:
Fiction. Prose. TEXT.
ART. That's it.
The Freezine is (*gasp*) PURE.
It's a streamlined, lo-fi, D.I.Y. forum to showcase WRITERS and their WRITING, as well as ARTISTS and their ARTWORK: Nothing more!
As long as I control the quality of TEXT/ART for this thing, it will continue to be a decent showcase for WRITING and ART. So far, the ART alone, in my opinion, is FANTASTIC. So far, 88% of the WRITING is pretty decent.
