What I meant by four dimensions, dude, is that it is being literally constructed through TIME--ya dig? Every Day I Must Thread The Needle Through The Eyelet - if I don't stay on top of this, the whole construct of the Zine gets skewed. I'm like an ol' Granny on the front Porch before the dimming Sunset, knitting away at this thing.
If you imagine the Zine's construction with "X-ray vision", you should see it's skeletal structure winding up, link by link, yet the "inner core" [JULY ISSUE/SKY PIRATES, etc] will never be "lost" at the "bottom of the well" so to speak; rather, this core is always hyperlinked to the Outer Shell, if you will. i.e, Four Dimensions; tesseractesque.
Screw proper dot coms for now man, and screw ####ing money aight. I'm not in this for money, I'll never want to make a dime off it for as long as I ####ing live, I'm not interested in "making money" dude. I'm interested in fame, initially - not fortune. (Fortune can wait... I'm patient.) Getting the name out there--that is paramount, right now. Besides, I am not averse to spending money, myself. I simply have a different strategy. My vision for this is specific and focused. I know exactly what I'm doing. You are welcome to start your own thing, with a dot com, of course. That's not "my thing".
The Freezine is nothing but a virtual sled. I'm hitching my dawgs to it, and they goan pull my sorry ass through the snow, m'k? It's an Effin Blizzard out there, son. Young gettin' old upstarts like me stand barely a chance of breaking through into the literary scene. But I'll be god damned if I'm a going to fail. Nopers. This Freezine is my ticket out of the slumps.
As for "springing for the chump change" dude, you simply don't have a clue as to my raison d'etre. I am planning on springing the $50 bucks to join kpgraham on his quest to dominate the Worldcon/Hugo awards. That is more money than the piddly 20 you suggest I spend on a "royal dot com".
What you have failed to grasp about the Freezine is that it is Free and intends to remain Free until the ends of Time, my friend.
