What really burns me is that, despite all the crap that supplement makers get away with, and the manipulative commercial practices that the major-league pharmaceutical companies get away with . . .
. . . there's a strain of belief among libertarians and the cranky right that FDA regulations are holding back medical research.
Supplements and alternative medicine are like religion. You can't question them without some people getting forehead-vein-bulging crazy and indignant.
