I sent this to the FDA recently:
Dear FDA Listen, you guys, why aren't you doing anything about the amazingly obvious frauds on cable television advertising? You (and the tv channels taking the money from these people) know perfectly well that the device that pretends to pull toxins from people's feet is a fake; you know that various over the counter diet pills sold on cable are fake; you know that the little spring-driven pump machine that supposedly reduces fat under a person's neck by making them exercise with it over and over, between chin and collarbone, is not only not going to work, it's also going to put your vertebra at real risk, and give you a risk of muscle tearing and so on. There are so many egregiously-obvious fake things sold on cable tv now. Having tiny letters somewhere on the screen reading, "Results may vary" should not to let them get away with this. These devices and pills are not real and don't work. Why don't you do something about it? You know the ones I mean. Spend two hours watching cable in California...
