Dignity is not really the word that I intended to apply to all of the Nazi characters. As for Landa, was he an opportunistic snake or a man devoted more to his profession than the ideology of the Third Reich? He shied away from the "Jew Hunter" nickname when it was brought up.
(and I'm honestly asking that question, because I think his character could be perceived either or both ways)
