we loved having j.d. in atlanta, but it is sad to see that he has not changed since he was drafted by the phillies. i love the fact that he is so outspoken about his faith, but when you talk that much,you have to back it up, i.e., don't be greedy. the one thing about j.d. that makes me the agriest is that he didn't return any of the the braves phone calls, and then said he was "hurt" when they didn't make a competitive offer. does he really think the braves can afford to pay him 10 mil per year when they are already paying 13 mil to chipper and andruw, and 12 mil to smoltz. they only have and 82 million dollar payroll. anyway, the saddest part is that j.d. probably could care less about the money, but he trusts scott boras almost more than anyone, and he thinks scott know everything so he goes along with whatever scott says. that's the reason he wants such a huge contract. i wish that he would do what andruw did: fire scott and negotiate your own contract based on what you really want.
