Posted by Dennis See -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The directors of the 2005 Port Alberni Grand Prix unfortunately have unanimously agreed to cancel the 2005 Port Alberni Grand Prix. After much consideration it was decided to cancel this year’s Grand Prix due to the fact that Vancouver Island lost its Karting facility in 2004 and have not been able to acquire a new home for 2005. The fact that Karting has not had a home on Vancouver Island for two years has drastically reduced the kart count and the directors felt that the amount of participants for this year’s Grand Prix would be to low to put on the quality of show that we have become accustom to. This said the Capital City Kart Club is working hard to get relocated in a permanent long term facility. Once they have a new home we feel confident that the Port Alberni Grand Prix will once again become a reality. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted by Dennis See

Sorry for the delay in posting this.
The Grand Prix committee would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support over the years. Without your fantastic support, Port Alberni would not have had the many years of success with the Grand Prix. We look forward to working with you in the future once the Karting community acquires their new home.
