The large wolf looked at Asante for a long moment, icy blue eyes taking in words and tone. The report seemed automatic, like someone had told him to say just that. Perhaps the white dragon's words were meant as a threat rather than a warning, either way it was to be dealt with internally. No need to be sending off ridiculous retorts like a pup. Black Rain's plume wagged a couple times at last, face breaking into a wide smile. "Well, thank you for the news," he said, icy blue eyes bright and appreciative. "I hope he is doing well?" Not really much of a question, but the concern was sincere. The brute hadn't heard anything from his former comrade since they'd met after their battle several months ago.
The dragon may not have been showing any signs of inferiority, but Black Rain really didn't expect him to. There were all types of creatures on this earth, some were very set in their ways. The fact that Asante wasn't lowering himself like most felt the need to in front of an Alpha was acceptable in the wolf's mind, as long as he still knew his place wherever he was. Then again, many had very different view on their place in an audience...
