Orchid kept cleaning her daughter with dainty kisses. Laughing as she rolled over, this was how she'd imagined it, as they grew into teenagers and young adult and finally adults them being able to come to her always and talk to her freely, be themselves. So she could love who they have become and how much they have grown, never to take a step to quickly...never to rush as she'd once done.
Her eyes traveled over her daughter as she ran to greet her brother, "You know we could go for a walk, just you, me and Ky." She suggested, "Maybe catch up I can answer some questions you two might have." her tail was waving even for these small moments she had forgot about her failure.
Ky leaned into his sister as she neared, "That sounds good ma." he said hoping for some time with just the family and not the pack.
"Oh that is fine by me Lutra dear." Orchid said to her question, "I am sure Lucien is firm on keeping you safe I won't worry when you are with him." she said. It was a true statement, she didn't worry when Lutra was out with Lucien he was a ranked member of the pack as well as an old friend to Seg, so Lutra was like family to the feline Orchid knew. His family had a way with her daughters...
Orchid turned to Lucien, "It seems your family has a way with my daughters." She joked although she could not be more relieved.
