Cross Fire turned around quickly when the pup's voice cut the silence. The old wolf's expression quickly changed from slight worry to a look of joy and his tail waved slightly as the boy put his paws on his shoulders. "Oh did he now? And was it eventful Vendetta?" He asked with a laugh his emerald eyes not leaving the pups icy blue ones. Cross Fire was happier now than he ever had been he had his six grandchildren, his only living daughter, a handful of good friends then Orchid. Yes especially Orchid.
As Black Rain's voice finally echoed from behind them Cross Fire smiled slightly but it quickly vanished at the information he remembered that needed delivered. "Nah the boy wasn't bothering me. After all that mitternacht using I'm almost as young feeling as you at your actual age." The wolf laughed. Black Rain had the sheen and energy of a wolf in his prime but Cross Fire, not so much. He still got a bit stiff from time to time but not half as bad as when he first arrived.
"No doesn't look like it." Cross Fire said. "Doubt she went far only one of her dragons not floating around that I have seen is Komali." Cross Fire probably went to visit one of her daughters. He stated knowing that meant somewhere not far and not dangerous, Flaming Rose was far from inexperienced with children. He watched Vendetta for a moment with a sad smile before turning his attention to Black Rain.
"I have something I need to tell you about that family you won't like it either." He stated emerald eyes hardening.
