Dark green claws broke the sheet of ice that clung to Ice Pack's terrain, long frosty green legs carrying the young fem at an ungodly speed. Rydia's eyes were nearly closed as she ran against the heavy wind, a tri-shaded green streak headed south. She was beginning to really grow rapidly, long legs, lean body, and large paws. Everything seemed to indicate that she was going to be tall like her Auntie Sol.
The cliffs were coming on fast, and somewhere in the girl's mind was the notion that she'd rather not tumble down the rocky face to her death. The green wolfess began applying the breaks, but it was a long process. Rydia's back paws slid under her rear to a point midway of her stomach, front ones stretched out in front of her, catching the ice and shaving it into slush as she dug in her caws and pushed against inertia.
It was around thirty seconds before the young fem came to a halt just before the drop off point. Panting heavily, Rydia collected herself and blinked her dry eyes back to a moist state. She shook out her thick, puppy coat, one of the only indicators left of her young age, and stared about with emerald eyes. Today was a fine day; decent weather and parents that were preoccupied enough to escape their watchful eyes. Perfect. Dark forest green ears perked, frosty fringed tail giving a few gentle waves as she gazed upon the southern border of her grandfather's pack.
Tegan was busy with her family, Uncle Cloud was taking the kids hunting or something of the sort. Tidus was, well, Tidus. He wouldn't be escaping Mom and Dad anytime soon. Yuffie was wherever Yuffie was and Kirin, well, lets just cut this short and say that Rydia was alone for the moment. Her usual gang of girls preoccupied with their own circumstances. So what to do in such a predicament? The fem's eyes narrowed on something further down the steep face of rocks, red and white against the grizzly gray and frost. A twitch of her moist green nose made it clear that he wasn't a part of the pack... well, at least he hadn't been for long yet.
The tri-shaded green gall's tail gave a flurry of motion, mind zeroing in on one thought: this could be fun. Rydia looked down to the steep drop off of rocks and scrutinized every crevice. Very carefully, the young fem began picking her way down, step by step. It was dangerous and her mother would surely whip her for such a crazy stunt, but Rydia could really care less. She'd gotten in trouble for worse thing already, this was nothing. Before long, the stranger was rather close, a holler away for a greeting.
"Hey there!" Rydia called to the young male in a friendly tone, somewhere around her age she guessed. The green fem picked her way over the rocks to the red and white brute, emerald eyes giving him a once over thoroughly. "I'm Rydia. Whatcha doin' out here?" The fem's tail gave a few quick beats, body emanating an aura of sheer open friendliness. The southern border was usually quite empty. The only wolf she knew of that came out here regularly was Auntie Sol, so this was definitely an interesting case.
